Background
For my Capstone project in the Interactive Media Developer program at Camosun College, my team and I developed a website for Superheroes of Victoria, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness for charitable events through superhero-themed appearances. Our objective was to create an engaging and user-friendly platform that highlights their mission and provides information on how users can get involved.
Over the course of our three-month capstone term, I gained experience with agile project management, including conducting weekly scrum meetings with my team to plan and prioritize our tasks. Additionally, we presented our work to large groups, showcasing the progress we made throughout the project. Thanks to our dedication and hard work, we successfully completed the website and achieved our objectives.

Work that was done
We began the project by developing detailed wireframes and sketches to define the site's layout and design. Our sponsor emphasized the need for a landing page featuring a Facebook feed to highlight the organization's activities, a section for upcoming events, and dedicated pages to showcase various volunteer opportunities. These elements were the primary focus to ensure the site met their key objectives.
After finalizing and receiving approval on the design concept, we moved forward with building the site using WordPress. We chose WordPress for its user-friendly interface, allowing our sponsor to easily manage and update content without needing to have expertise in HTML or CSS.
